Senior Business Analyst

Transcend is seeking a Business Analyst who is passionate about working with clients & technology to implement the Transcend solution within our Client’s environment.  This role will work with the business users and software developers to deliver advanced capabilities offered by Transcend software to solve collateral management, capital management and compliance needs related to global capital markets transactions.

Qualifications & Experience

In addition to the below, a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience is required. To thrive in this role, candidates should have a keen interest in the financial markets.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for leading the client implementations to support our client’s business initiative and drive adoption of our platform.  At times, you will work closely with our product development team to translate client requirements to develop the latest functionality on our platform.

Core Java Developer

Transcend is seeking an energetic, experienced, senior software developer who is passionate about applying technology to solve complex challenges.  This role will drive the innovative development of our modular technology solutions delivering advanced capabilities for financial services, supporting their collateral management, capital management and compliance needs related to global capital markets transactions.  Our software is built using cutting edge technologies and our developers work on a variety of projects designing, building, enhancing and maintaining the code base for our core product (Transcend Software).

Qualifications & Experience

In addition to the below, a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or related field is required and 10+ years of hands-on work experience.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Core Java concepts
  • Java Server side development experience
  • Working knowledge of building effective API(s)
  • Database technologies and SQL query experience (SQL Server / Oracle / etc.)
  • Java Message Service (JMS) – including point-to-point messaging, message types, message delivery to non-Java clients, etc.
  • Server-side programming technologies (strong)
  • Java Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) API
  • RDBMS concepts
  • Microsoft SQL server or Oracle database
  • Spring (preferred)
  • Multi-Threading/Concurrency (preferred)
  • MongoDB or Hadoop (preferred)

Responsibilities:

Transcend’s Senior Software Developer will work with the team to develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

  • Work closely with software developers to produce robust core Java code primarily using core Java principles around multi-threading, messaging and caching technologies
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
